Hay una serie de listas con grabaciones de referencia de las que relacionaré las más comunes y valoradas, aunque para empezar, un buen punto de partida podría ser la que nos ofrece Jamey Aebersold -famoso educador y divulgador del Jazz- desde allaboutjazz.com con su “Double Time Top 100 Historically Significant Recordings (100 mejores grabaciones historicamente relevantes).
